* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Northeastern Harlan County in south central Nebraska... Southeastern Phelps County in south central Nebraska... * WHEN...Until 1000 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of some creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations in the Warning area is likely still occurring. It could take at least a few more hours for area reeks and streams to return into their banks. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 551 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated that at least 2 to 4 inches of rain fell in the Warning area... mainly on Wednesday...which flooded and even damaged some rural roads. Although it has been several hours since the very heaviest rain fell, at last minor flooding likely continues in portions of the Warning area. Fortunately, any additional rainfall today should be less than one-half inch, and dry weather is expected from at least this evening into Friday afternoon. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Methodist Creek, School Creek, Sacramento Creek, Rope Creek, Flag Creek, Turkey Creek and West Branch Thompson Creek. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
