At 722 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Valentine National Wildlife Refuge, or 22 miles south of Valentine, moving northeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Valentine National Wildlife Refuge and Wood Lake. This includes the following highways... Highway 20 between mile markers 215 and 223. Highway 83 between mile markers 184 and 193.
