RED FLAG CONDITIONS LIKELY THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING FOR AREAS
EAST OF THE I-25 CORRIDOR.
The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a Fire
Weather Watch, which is in effect from Tuesday afternoon through
Wednesday evening.
* AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zones 417, 418, 432, 433, 434,
435, 436, and 437.
* WIND...On Monday, north-northwest winds gusting 25 to 40 mph. On
Tuesday, west-northwest winds gusting 25 to 35 mph. On
Wednesday, northwest winds gusting 35 to 55 mph.
* HUMIDITY...10 to 15 percent each afternoon Monday through
Wednesday. Poor recoveries expected Tuesday night.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.

are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
