Central Dona Ana County in south central New Mexico... * Until 1015 PM MDT. * At 825 PM MDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flash flooding of arroyos, urban drainages, streets, and low water crossing as well as other low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Las Cruces, NMSU Main Campus, Mesilla, Fairacres, Talavera, East Mesa, San Pablo and Northeast Las Cruces. The greatest risk for flash flooding will be along Dripping Springs Road and Soledad Canyon Road east of Las Cruces.
