...RED FLAG WARNING UNTIL 8 PM FOR NORTHEASTERN NEW MEXICO, AREAS ALONG AND EAST OF THE SANDIA AND MANZANO MOUNTAINS, AND THE MIDDLE RIO GRANDE VALLEY DUE TO STRONG WINDS AND LOW HUMIDITY... .West to northwest wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph will continue with subcritical humidity of 7 to 12 percent. Any new fire starts will be able to spread rapidly. The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Red Flag Warning...which is in effect until 8 PM MDT this evening. * AREA AND TIMING...Middle Rio Grande Valley (Zone 106) until 8 PM MDT. * 20 FOOT WINDS...West to northwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Minimum values of 7 to 12 percent. * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
