Description:
At 355 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from 18
miles east of Seneca to 15 miles south of Mount Dora, moving
southeast at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Clayton, Clayton Lake State Park, Seneca, Mount Dora and Moses.
This includes Highway 64 between Mile Markers 412 and 429.
Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. These storms are capable of producing damaging winds and
large hail.
Blowing dust associated with strong thunderstorm winds can reduce
visibility below one quarter mile at times.
