Description: 
At 331 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 5 miles south of Torreon, or 11 miles west of Rio Rancho, moving southeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Rio Rancho, Northern Meadows, Mariposa, Rio Rancho City Center and Enchanted Hills. This includes Highway 550 between Mile Markers 4 and 13.
Instruction: 
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large hail. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Blowing dust associated with strong thunderstorm winds can reduce visibility below one quarter mile at times.
