At 257 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 14 miles southwest of National Radio Astronomy Observatory, or 18 miles south of Datil, moving northeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... National Radio Astronomy Observatory. This includes Highway 60 near Mile Marker 89...and near Mile Marker 91.
