Description:
At 436 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Sedillo, or 15 miles west of Moriarty, moving east at 5 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Edgewood, Tijeras, Sedillo, Cedar Grove, Ponderosa Pines, Cedro and
Miera.
This includes Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 175 and 188.
Instruction:
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
Motorists can expect brief but sudden changes in visibility and
ponding of water on roadways as storms move through the area.
