Description: 
At 400 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Mariposa, or near Rio Rancho, moving southeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Hail may accumulate on roadways causing hazardous travel. Locations impacted include... Rio Rancho, Bernalillo, Corrales, Los Ranchos De Albuquerque, Enchanted Hills, Rio Rancho City Center, Mariposa, Vista Hills and Coronado State Monument. This includes the following highways... Highway 550 between Mile Markers 1 and 14. Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 235 and 251.
Instruction: 
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening weather conditions. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Blowing dust associated with strong thunderstorm winds can reduce visibility below one quarter mile at times.
