At 722 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Dortches, or
near Rocky Mount, moving northeast at 25 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Trained weather spotters reported quarter size hail near
Dortches.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Rocky Mount, Roanoke Rapids, Nashville, Halifax, Scotland Neck,
Dortches, Red Oak, Enfield, Weldon, and Whitakers.
This includes Interstate 95 between Mile Markers 173 and 138.
