At 1218 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Tarboro to 7 miles southeast of Elm City to near Bailey. Movement was east at 45 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Tarboro, Wilson, Elm City, Fremont, Princeville, Pinetops, Kenly, Lucama, Stantonsburg, and Black Creek. This includes the following highways... Interstate 95 between Mile Markers 121 and 106. NC Highway 264 between Mile Markers 37 and 56.
