Description:
At 800 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from 10 miles northeast of
Dortches to near Bunn to 6 miles north of Clayton to near Garner.
Movement was east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Rocky Mount, Tarboro, Nashville, Halifax, Wilson, Clayton, Zebulon,
Scotland Neck, Elm City, and Dortches.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 95 between Mile Markers 160 and 116.
Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 307 and 310.
NC Highway 264 between Mile Markers 20 and 56.
