...The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers...
Scioto River at Circleville.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Scioto River at Circleville.
* WHEN...From late tonight to late Saturday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Low-lying areas north of Circleville near
Little Walnut begin to flood. Flooding also worsens at the
intersection of Canal Road and State Route 104 and on Island Road
north of Circleville. Minor backwater flooding occurs along Big
Darby Creek near Circleville.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1:45 PM EDT Wednesday the stage was 11.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
early Thursday morning to a crest of 17.7 feet Thursday
evening. It will then fall below flood stage early Saturday
morning.
- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
