The National Weather Service in Tucson has issued a Red Flag Warning for strong and gusty winds, low relative humidity, and very high fire danger, which is in effect from noon today to 8 PM MST this evening. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zone 152. * TIMING...From Noon MST today through 8 PM MST this evening. * WINDS...Southeast to east winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. The strongest winds will be across the southeast to east aligned valleys and along the leeward side of the terrain. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Between 9 and 14 percent. * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop or are ongoing will have the potential to spread rapidly.

A combination of strong winds...low relative humidity...and dry vegetation will create the potential for rapid and erratic fire growth.
