At 1024 AM CDT, a dangerous snow squall was located along a line extending from near Ash Lake to 9 miles southeast of Scenic State Park to near Remer, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD...Intense bursts of heavy snow. Gusty winds leading to blowing snow and visibility rapidly falling to less than one-quarter mile. Wind gusts up to 20 mph. SOURCE...Radar and webcams. IMPACT...Travel will become difficult and potentially dangerous within minutes. Webcams continue to show rapid reductions in visibility and snow quickly accumulating on roads. Snow squall will affect US-2, US-71, and US-53. Locations impacted include... Grand Rapids, International Falls, Walker, Cohasset, Coleraine, Deer River, Littlefork, Marcell, Bigfork, Remer, Taconite, Wabedo, Nett Lake, Hackensack, Orr, Big Falls, Meadow Brook, Northome, Longville, and Ash Lake.
