Description: 
At 359 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking an outflow boundary from an area of thunderstorms. This outflow is along a line extending from near Ballentine to 7 miles northwest of Batesburg-Leesville. Movement was southeast at 20 mph. ...Boaters on Lake Murray Should Seek Safe Harbor... HAZARD...Wind gusts of 30 to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Highway 6 at Lake Murray Dam, Dreher Island State Park, Lighthouse Marina, Cedar Grove Fire Station, South Shore Marina, Oswald Park, Lake Murray Marina, Shull Island, Bundrick Island, Putnam's Landing, Siesta Cove Marina, Rocky Point Recreation Area, Pine Island, Lake Murray Shores, Hollow Creek Public Park, Melvin Park, Riverbend Boat Ramp, and Circle Fire Station.
Instruction: 
If on or near Lake Murray, get out of the water and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
