Description:
At 242 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 4 miles east of
Cactus Flat, or 14 miles southwest of Philip, moving northeast at 20
mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.
SOURCE...Trained weather spotters.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Philip, Cactus Flat, and Minuteman Missile Visitors Center.
This includes Interstate 90 in South Dakota between Mile Markers 130
and 143.
Instruction:
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
