Description:
At 1232 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Nesmith to Jasper. Movement was east at 25
mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Cullman, Hanceville, Good Hope, Dodge City, Garden City, Colony,
Phelan, Walter, Wilburn, and Black Bottom.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 500 AM CDT for north central
Alabama.
