Description:
At 148 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms over Carlisle, or 16 miles north of Mount Sterling,
moving east at 60 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Flemingsburg, Sharpsburg, Fairview, Pecks Ridge, Reynoldsville,
Wyoming, Sideview, Triplett, Flat Creek, Odessa, Pebble, Sharkey,
Muses Mills, Wallingford, Bethel, Foxport, Stoops, Oakley, Judy, and
Mount Carmel.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 AM EDT for
east central Kentucky.
