Description:
At 722 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Carter Caves State Park, moving east at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Grayson, Carter Caves State Park, Princess, Coalton, Denton, Gesling,
Greenbo Lake, Oldtown, Naples, Rush, Carter, Flatwoods, Raceland,
Worthington, Wurtland, Hanging Rock, Grahn, Hopewell, Hitchins, and
Warnock.
This includes Interstate 64 in Kentucky between mile markers 161 and
183.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
northeastern Kentucky...and southeastern Ohio.
