Description: 
An area of heavy snow showers will accompany a cold front crossing the region this morning. Visibilities will drop quickly to a half mile or less with these heavy snow showers along with gusty winds. Roads could rapidly become snow covered and slippery. Localized snow accumulations up to an inch could occur. These snow showers will impact Route 1, Route 11, Route 161, northern portions of I-95 and other roads across northern Maine between 730 and 830 AM. Commuters this morning should be alert for these heavy snow showers, deteriorating visibilities and slippery road conditions. If you encounter these heavy snow showers slow down and maintain a safe distance between other vehicles.
