At 756 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking gusty showers along a line extending from Ivanhoe and Kelly to Bolton. Movement was east at 35 mph. The strong winds should reach the Wilmington Metro Area between 8:30 and 9:00 PM. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Wilmington, Leland, Burgaw, Wrightsville Beach, Surf City, Topsail Beach, Long Creek, Murrayville, Currie, and Castle Hayne. This includes the following highways... Interstate 40 between mile markers 389 and 416. Interstate 140 between mile markers 15 and 20.
