Description: 
At 804 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms continuing to produce very heavy rain in and around Athens. At least one automated rain gauge indicated over 4 inches of rain on the south side of Athens. The Walnut Creek and other creeks and streams flowing out of Athens are likely flooding. Flash flooding elsewhere is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Athens, Malakoff, Trinidad, Caney City, Coon Creek Lake, Forest Grove Reservoir, Trinidad Lake, Cross Roads, Log Cabin, Star Harbor, Crescent Heights, Cayuga, Bethel and Yard.
Instruction: 
Move to higher ground now if you are in a low-lying area near Walnut Creek or other low-lying areas south of Athens . Act quickly to protect your life. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
