At 907 PM CDT, emergency management reported countless flooded roads with stranded motorists in Waco, Woodway, and Hewitt. Flash flooding is already occurring. Rainfall rates are starting to come down, which will help improve the ongoing flash flooding, but light to moderate rain is expected to continue for at least the next hour or so. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Emergency management reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Waco, Hewitt, Robinson, Bellmead, Woodway, Lacy-Lakeview, McGregor, Beverly Hills, Riesel, Crawford, Hallsburg, Lake Waco, Northcrest, Lake Creek Lake, Tradinghouse Creek Reservoir, Willow Grove, Downsville, Spring Valley, Elm Mott and Axtell.
Instruction: 
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
