* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...Southern portions of the South Plains, including the following counties, Cochran, Garza, Hockley, Lynn, Terry and Yoakum. * WHEN...Until 6 AM CDT early this morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Several clusters of slow-moving thunderstorms are expected to continue through the overnight hours. Thunderstorms may move over the same areas repeatedly which may result in flash flooding.
