Description:
At 713 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms near Cinco Ranch, or near Pecan Grove, moving south at
10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Sugar Land, northwestern Missouri City, Rosenberg, Stafford,
Richmond, Town West, Pecan Grove, Eldridge / West Oaks, First Colony,
Mission Bend, southwestern Addicks Park Ten, Meadows Place, Fulshear,
Pleak, New Territory, Cinco Ranch, Westwood, Four Corners, Alief, and
Westchase.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio

and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
