Description: 
At 1158 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 7 miles south of Cuero to 6 miles north of Tulsita to near George West to near Loma Alta to near Gilson Groves to 24 miles west of Chupadera Ranch Airport. Movement was southeast at 50 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Laredo, Victoria, Alice, Beeville, Sinton, Mathis, San Diego, Cotulla, Refugio, Freer, George West, Goliad, Three Rivers, Woodsboro, Encinal, Tilden, Skidmore, McFaddin, Choke Canyon, and Guadalupe. This includes the following highways... Interstate 35 between mile markers 11 and 67. Interstate 37 between mile markers 19 and 83. US Highway 281 between mile markers 618 and 676. US Highway 181 between mile markers 572 and 622. US Highway 183 between mile markers 628 and 668. US Highway 59 between mile markers 622 and 804. US Highway 77 between mile markers 560 and 650. US Highway 83 between mile markers 668 and 698. US Highway 87 between mile markers 798 and 832.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 500 AM CDT for south central and south Texas.
