Description:
At 853 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located over Shimek State Forest, or 13 miles west of Nauvoo,
moving east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado and two inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage
to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is
likely.

Fort Madison, West Point, Donnellson, Franklin, New Boston,
Pollmiller Park, Wilson Lake, Lee County Fairgrounds, and
Charleston.
Other locations in the path of this tornadic thunderstorm include
Montrose, Fort Madison Municipal Arpt, Sawyer, Denmark, Augusta and
Welter Recreation Area.
