At 311 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Nixonton, or near Weeksville, moving northeast at 50 mph. A second circulation, also capable of producing a tornado, was located near Snug Harbor, moving northeast. HAZARD...Tornado. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. This dangerous storm will be near... Elizabeth City and Elizabeth City State University around 315 PM EDT. Camden and Whitehall Shores around 320 PM EDT. Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Bob White Fork, Belcross, Holiday Island, Rabbit Corner, Symonds Creek, Woodville, Okisko, Forestburg, Pasquotank, and Jacocks.
