Description:
At 121 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Corinne to near South Willard to 12 miles
southeast of Great Salt Lake South of the Causeway, moving east at 20
mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Ogden, Layton, Farmington, Brigham City, Hill Air Force Base, Roy,
Clearfield, Kaysville, Syracuse, Clinton, North Ogden, South Ogden,
Washington Terrace, Riverdale, Hooper, South Weber, Perry, Willard,
Marriott-Slaterville, and Uintah.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 15 between mile markers 325 and 375.
Interstate 84 between mile markers 82 and 90.
Instruction:
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
