Description: 
At 254 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 26 miles northeast of Green River to 23 miles northwest of Castle Valley to 10 miles north of Canyonlands National Park. Movement was northeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Moab, Castle Valley, Arches National Park, and Cisco. This includes the following highways... Interstate 70 in Utah between mile markers 182 and 217. U.S. Highway 191 in Utah between mile markers 125 and 150, and between mile markers 156 and 157. Utah 128 between mile markers 0 and 20, between mile markers 26 and 27, and between mile markers 36 and 44.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
