At 600 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7 miles southeast of Chewelah, or 34 miles west of Priest River, moving south at 20 mph. HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Springdale, Valley, and Loon Lake. This includes U.S. Highway 395 in Washington between mile markers 190 and 205.
