Description: 
At 924 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Tampico, or 17 miles west of Yakima, moving northwest at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Rimrock and Tampico. This includes Highway 12 between mile markers 156 and 179.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service office in Pendleton Oregon. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight PDT for central and south central Washington.
