Central Raleigh County in southeastern West Virginia...
* Until 115 AM EDT.
* At 914 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Mabscott, Sophia, Crab Orchard, Coal City, Macarthur, Beaver,
Daniels and Lester.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 64 in West Virginia between mile markers 120 and 122. West
Virginia Turnpike between mile markers 37 and 42.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
