Description:
At 552 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Berkeley
Springs, or 8 miles south of Hancock, moving northeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches to
fall. This could injure those outdoors, as well as damage
homes and vehicles. Roadways may become blocked by downed
trees. Localized power outages are possible. Unsecured
light objects may become projectiles.

Hedgesville, Johnsons Mill, Tomahawk, Johnsontown, Shanghai, Valley
View, Spohrs Crossroads, Rock Gap, Stotlers Crossroads, Highland
Ridge, Smith Crossroads, Jones Springs, New Hope, Shady Grove, and
Omps.
Instruction:

building.
Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading

be struck by lightning.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
