At 708 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Chesapeake, or 9 miles southeast of Charleston, moving southeast at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Charleston, Montgomery, Chesapeake, Marmet, Belle, Cedar Grove, East Bank, Glasgow, Smithers, Gauley Bridge, Pratt, Burnwell, Powellton, Handley, Leewood, Dawes, Sharon, and Eskdale. This includes West Virginia Turnpike between mile markers 66 and 94.
