Description: 
At 224 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Ranger, or 7 miles southwest of Hamlin, moving east at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Hamlin, St. Albans, Ranger, Alum Creek, Spurlockville, Tornado, Julian, West Hamlin, Sweetland, Sod, Woodville, Branchland, Palermo, Griffithsville, Alkol, Yawkey, and Myra. This includes Route 119 between mile markers 55 and 68.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM EDT for central and western West Virginia.
