* WHAT...Northeast winds 25 to 45 mph with gusts of 50 to 60 mph expected. * WHERE...Lower Matanuska Valley. * WHEN...Until midnight AKDT tonight. * IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and a few power outages may result. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Wind gusts of 50 to 60 mph are likely, though isolated gusts higher than 60 mph will be possible. The strongest winds are expected near and to the north of Palmer. For areas west of Wasilla, winds will be gusty but lighter. Winds are expected to breezy on Sunday, but below the 50 mph threshold. Looking ahead, winds may return the Matanuska Valley Tuesday into Wednesday. Plan ahead and continue to monitor the forecast for updates.
