* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total sleet
accumulations around one inch and ice accumulations between two
and four tenths of an inch.
* WHERE...Northern Penobscot, Southeast Aroostook, Northern
Piscataquis, and Northern Somerset Counties.
* WHEN...From 8 AM this morning to 2 AM EDT Thursday. Precipitation
will generally transition from sleet today to freezing rain
tonight. Temperatures should rise above freezing later Wednesday
night with freezing rain turning to rain.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Isolated power outages
are possible from the freezing rain. Significant amounts of sleet
today topped with freezing rain tonight will make removal very
difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday
evening commute.
