Description:
* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation. Additional snow and sleet
accumulations between 8 and 12 inches and ice accumulations around
a tenth of an inch. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.
* WHERE...Mackinac Island/Bois Blanc Island and Beaver Island and
surrounding islands, and Southeast Chippewa County.
* WHEN...Until 8 AM EDT Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Power outages and tree damage are possible due to the
heavy wet snow and ice. Travel could be nearly impossible. Areas
of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The
hazardous conditions will impact the Monday morning and evening
commutes.
Instruction:
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.
