Description: 
* WHAT...Prolonged periods of heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations between 1 and 3 feet possible, greatest on south and west facing aspects. Winds could gust as high as 85 mph Thursday. * WHERE...Absaroka/Beartooth Mountains. * WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to 6 AM MDT Sunday. * IMPACTS...Recreation in the high country could be severely impacted by heavy accumulating snow. Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Widespread blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. Very strong winds could cause extensive damage to trees and power lines. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow will begin this evening on south and west facing aspects. Snow may not begin falling on the north aspects until Thursday night or Friday.

Do not get caught unprepared in the high country. Severe winter conditions are expected. Avalanche danger will also increase.
