Description:
* WHAT...Prolonged periods of heavy snow expected. Total snow
accumulations between 1 and 4 feet, greatest on south and west
facing aspects. Locally higher totals are possible.
* WHERE...Absaroka/Beartooth Mountains.
* WHEN...Until 6 AM MDT Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Recreation in the high country will be severely impacted
by heavy accumulating and blowing snow. Widespread blowing snow
could significantly reduce visibility. Avalanche danger is expected
to increase over the next few days.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow may not begin falling on the north
aspects until Friday.
Instruction:
Do not get caught unprepared in the high country. Severe winter
conditions are expected.
