Description:
* WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations between 7 and
14 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.
* WHERE...Portions of central, south central, and southeast Montana
and north central Wyoming.
* WHEN...From Thursday evening through late Saturday night.
* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely
become slick and hazardous. Travel could be very difficult to
impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday
evening and Friday morning commutes. Conditions may threaten young
livestock.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Accumulating snowfall is expected to develop
Thursday night and continue through Saturday night. The heaviest
snowfall potential is currently across areas mainly north of I-90
and I-94 in the Watch area, but placement of heaviest snow may
change. Please check the latest forecasts.
Instruction:
People should delay all travel if possible. If travel is absolutely
necessary, drive with extreme caution and be prepared for sudden
changes in visibility. Leave plenty of room between you and the
motorist ahead of you, and allow extra time to reach your
destination. Avoid sudden braking or acceleration, and be especially
cautious on hills or when making turns. Make sure your car is
winterized and in good working order.
