Rock River At Afton affecting Winnebago and Rock Counties.
Baraboo River Near Baraboo affecting Columbia and Sauk Counties.

* WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast. This approaches the flood of record.
* WHERE...Wisconsin River at Portage.
* WHEN...Until late Friday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, There is 1 foot of water over a low
section of County Highway V in Dekorra. Floodwaters affect River
Oaks Road and River Shores Road (Lewiston Township) as well as
numerous roads in the Blackhawk Park area about 3 miles south of
Portage.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:15 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 19.2 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 12.7 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 11:15 PM CDT Saturday was 20.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
early Friday morning and continue falling to 15.4 feet
Saturday evening.
- Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
19.4 feet on 04/14/2011.

Instruction:
Even 6 inches of fast-moving flood water can knock you off your feet
and a depth of 2 feet will float your car. Never try to walk, swim,
or drive through such swift water. If you come upon flood waters,
stop, turn around and go another way.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
