Wisconsin River At Portage affecting Columbia County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring. * WHERE...Wisconsin River at Portage. * WHEN...Until tomorrow morning. * IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Water is near homes in the Blackhawk Park area of Portage on the south side of the river along Old River Road. Floodwaters are over West Lake Road, West Lane Rd, and Blackhawk Road in the Blackhawk Park area. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 5:50 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 17.2 feet. - Bankfull stage is 12.7 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 5:50 PM CDT Tuesday was 17.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise below flood stage late this evening and then rise to a crest of 16.9 feet early tomorrow afternoon. - Flood stage is 17.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 17.4 feet on 04/28/2018. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
