Description:
At 318 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from
over Spencer to 13 miles west of Pittsville, or along a line from 33
miles northwest of Wisconsin Rapids to 27 miles west of Wisconsin
Rapids, moving northeast at 50 mph.
HAZARD...Golf ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
This severe thunderstorm will be near...
Marshfield and Spencer around 320 PM CDT. Pittsville around 335 PM
CDT.
Other locations impacted by the severe thunderstorm include
Bakerville, Lindsey, Nasonville, Unity, Hewitt, Scranton, March
Rapids, Stratford, Veedum and Cherokee.
Instruction:
Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure
and stay away from windows. These storms are capable of producing
dangerous hail and damaging winds.
Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter
immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built
structure.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CDT Friday for a
portion of central Wisconsin.
