The National Weather Service in La Crosse has issued a
* Tornado Warning for...
West central Houston County in southeastern Minnesota...
East central Fillmore County in southeastern Minnesota...
* Until 1015 PM CDT.
* At 951 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing both
tornadoes and extensive straight line wind damage were located over
Lanesboro, or near Preston, moving east at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.
* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
west central Houston and east central Fillmore Counties, including
the following locations... County Roads 15 And 4, Bratsberg,
Choice, Yucatan, and Highland.
Instruction:
TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.
This cluster of thunderstorms is capable of producing tornadoes and
widespread significant wind damage. Do not wait to see or hear the
