Description:
At 959 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 3 miles north of Moline to 4 miles south of Grainola
to 4 miles southwest of Ponca City, moving east at 40 mph.
THESE ARE DESTRUCTIVE STORMS FOR Burbank, Shidler, Grainola, and
Foraker.
HAZARD...80 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Mesonet. At 950 PM, a 76 mph wind gust was measured 8 miles
east of Newkirk in Kay County.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be heavily damaged. Expect
considerable damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles.
Extensive tree damage and power outages are likely.
