At 322 PM MST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across portions of the Tucson Metro, extending from Davis-Monthan Air Force Base westward across the south side of Tucson. An automated rain gauge at the Tucson Electric Power Power just west of Davis-Monthan Air Force Base has recorded 1.81 inches in the last hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding.
